Ugh, “Makerhood”
I have too much pure angst over this sort of BS to write a comprehendible blog about it…
I’ve been in the neighborhood since 2000, and what is happening now has some benefits, but the fact that almost every artist has already been priced out of the neighborhood says plenty. Rental rates are so high that For Lease signs linger, proving that even corporate folks are flinching at the per square foot gouge. I hope that something shifts to help make the end result bearable, either the developers plans or my mindset.
This article… ugh.
