Nothing good or bad
I was reminded of this Shakespeare quote from Hamlet today, and it felt timely in regards to my post from a couple of days ago about attachment to thoughts:
“There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.”
So much of our suffering is rooted in thinking, and so much of our thinking is related to the past or the future. My current internal work is geared toward sinking into present moments and breath, and it aligns with my studio Work of going deeper into painting. Sitting in front of a five by four foot canvas, painting for hours in a row, is a trip… a dance with intentionality.
