Mother Nature’s Son

There are two months to go in this One Painting A Week For A Year project, and I feel fine.  I still haven’t even come close to figuring out what the hell to do with the unsold pieces once this project is done, an it has never really been about the end goal.  I’ll be scratching my head a little bit over this in the coming weeks, in hopes that I can come up with some sort of worthwhile scenario that makes use of the product of this project.  Until then, I’ll keep on doing what I have been doing, knocking out one per week with a general sense of ease.  I have not been very surprised by the multiple paintings that find their Muse in Nature… it is a natural and enormous source of such inspiration.  The other painting Work is going well… Inauguration Day II is fast into an exciting state, and as of today, I may have charted out the next two paintings in the series.  Anyways, I will be showing some work at an historic home in Charleston, SC, next weekend, and I have begun to select the paintings that will make the journey.  I have to curate a show based on what I can successfully stack in my Honda Pilot… which will fit work about 80″x48″.  It is going to get interesting as I attempt to make it a well rounded and interesting exhibit.  I’ll let you know how it all goes (maybe, with some packing and installation photos).  Welcome to November.
