don’t think twice…
Well, it seems that the “thundersnow” last Friday here in Nashville threw off my schedule a little bit, but the One Painting Per Week For A Year project did not stall.
Actually, it did stall a little bit, but that just had to do with me thinking too much about the third painting in this project. This uninvited guest started knocking on the door with the second painting, when I inadvertently riffed off a real world visual to begin the weekly painting… and, the third week brought much more mental strain than I welcome for this project. So, #3, Cup of Waves, is hopefully the last of this variety for a while (As work is almost done on #4, I can assure you, dear reader, that the simplicity of #1 returns.) I need this to be “easy” to a degree… playing with color; fun. The more in-depth work that is ongoing in the studio is pushing my limits in abstract image resolution… no need to double-up on that dose in this year long endeavor. Three down, forty-nine to go.
