One hundred and twenty oak boards, one quarter inch thick by two and two sixteenth inches wide, by three feet long. I will stain them each four time… maybe, five. There is probably a short cut, but I’m not sure what it is and if it would work as well as this method. Four hundred and eighty passes (maybe, six hundred), to get the oak just right for the frames for the Portal Paintings. The process turns into a meditation, and that effects are beautiful, both inside and out.
